We are bombarded with ads for every fitness product on the market. Here are a few thoughts to help handle the madness:

Fear doesn’t get to decide, and fear doesn’t get to buy.

Gimmicks and false promises take your money, and make you feel worse in the end.

You don’t need supplements or the perfect clothes to succeed.

Decide to improve at least one aspect of your fitness this year that isn’t related to weight or body fat composition.

There is no quick fix that wont compromise your physical or mental health. Skip waist-trainers, starvation diets, meal plans by unqualified people, fat burners, obsessive exercise, and anything else unsafe. You are worth more!

Consistently doing the right things pays off… even if you aren’t perfect. Get a plan and keep working towards your goal. ????

You are not disqualified from great health or amazing fitness, even if you are injured or have a big mountain to climb.

Shame and fear are mean sales tactics. Don’t walk down that road. If someone needs to make you feel afraid or insecure to sell you something, they probably don’t have your best interest at heart.

Comparison makes everyone feel worse. Unfollow people/pages who don’t build you up, teach, or challenge you.

Use the motivation you feel from this season to start where you are, use what you have, and to decide to make the next right choice. Panicking and going overboard leaves you feeling too sore, frustrated, and even less motivated than before.

Start with something reasonable and challenge yourself to gradually get better!
