Fitnessforus.com is a free weight loss & healthy living resource for real people looking for programs to achieve real results in the real world.

Who We Are
Fitnessforus.com was founded by Dan Swift who after spending the first 20 years of his adult live obese finally was able to take control of his weight and health. After losing over seventy pounds in a year, detailed in his first book Diary of a Former Fat Man, Dan became a certified personal trainer and wanted to create a free resource for other busy adults struggling to take control of their weight and health as well.
The writings on fitnessforus.com are from a collection of personal trainers, medical professionals and most importantly real people who took control of their weight and health as adults.

What We Do
Fitnessforus.com is a free resource that acts as a “one stop shop” for adults looking to take control over their health. We cover food, exercise and the emotional and mental aspect of weight loss as well. Our recipes and workouts are designed for busy people who don’t have a lot of time to cook or workout let alone research the endless options out there. Our goal is to help take people from bad health to good health, once you are in good shape there are a lot of options out there that will help take you to great, depending on how you define great. Some of our members focus on advancing in endurance events, others focus on advancing in power based programs while still others just want to maintain the success they have achieved and life their lives.
Our commitment to you is to give you real, practical and implementable ideas, workouts & recipes that will have a positive impact on your health. We will not offer you any of the endless lies about shedding forty pounds of fat in 30 days or getting a rock hard six pack in 6 weeks, we know from our own experience that these are just empty lies. Instead we will focus on stuff that really works and that real people can easily implement into their real lives.
Personal Training
We do offer a limited amount of personal training in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Our training is different in that we are focused on helping you build a good foundation in nutrition and exercise so that you don’t need a personal trainer to take control of your health; from day one our goal is to give you the skills and abilities needed to fire us.
