There is no escaping it, once you begin to focus on something like weight you will be over critical of yourself. Instead of focusing on your success all you will see is the work left to do. To this day I still have work to do, hell I will probably die unfinished, but that doesn’t take away from the success I have had. So don’t rob yourself of enjoying your success.

Plateaus are as normal a part of weight loss as sweating and sneaking a unapproved snack from time to time. They just happen. Your body is amazing; within twenty one days it will adjust to anything, including the things you have been doing to take weight off. This is an added benefit of using the shock, stop and roll method, you actually get to keep shocking your body and that shock is what produces those impressive losses on the scale.

As adults we all know mistakes happen way too often. We all make them and we make them most days. In reality a mistake usually doesn’t mean the end of the world and often provide us a needed opportunity to step back and re-evaluate what we are doing and what we want. However way to often when people make a mistake on their diet and exercise program they allow that one mistake to spiral them back to the unhealthy lifestyle they were once so dedicated to reversing.

There is one thing no diet or exercise program can give you that will be essential to successfully losing weight and keeping it off and that is a positive attitude. Now I know it sounds like nothing more than a cliché, it seems everywhere you turn someone is telling you about the amazing benefits of a having a positive attitude but I can tell you first hand succeeding on this journey requires you to have the right attitude.

As you progress along a journey towards fitness and the body and lifestyle you want you will most like spend a little bit of time contemplation how far away you are from your eventual goal, or at least I did. There were many, and I mean many, times along my journey where someone would comment about how much weight I lost and how good l looked and all I would think was how much more weight I had to lose.
